Last August, Civio, together withwith Juan Elosua and Chiqui Esteban (This is Visual), launched a crowdfunding campaign to spearhead 'España en llamas', our investigative data journalism project around the longstanding and recurring Spanish forest drama.
Today this campaign comes to an end. Over 130 generous donors have contributed an aggregate amount in excess of €6.200. This is still far from the volumes raised through the more established international platforms, such as Kickstarter, but it is well worth celabrating.
A big thank you goes to the wonderful team at Goteo and to all the people who have helped us get here. We will endevour to see that confidence returned through good and honest investigative work.
