Y.N. Harare's book, "From Animals into Gods: A Brief History of Humankind" brilliantly explains the key dynamics of how Homo Sapiens became, some 30.000 years ago, the unrivalled species on planet earth.
Reading the book I was fascinated to learn that Homo Sapiens' social inclination was key in asserting his domination over other more qualified candidates, such as Homo Neanderthalis, who enjoyed larger brains and stronger muscles.
The cognitive revolution that equipped our ancestors so well was linked to the evolution of language. A new, incredibly powerful tool was developed to describe nature around him, channel individual interactions and, above all, capture abstract thinking.
